HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – April 30, 2018 – A Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC)-led team has been selected for the Nunn-Perry Award from the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) for outstanding achievement in the Mentor-Protégé Program.
After signing an agreement in early 2015 with the Missile Defense Agency, the DOD sponsor of this mentor-protégé effort, Northrop Grumman leveraged its experts in several areas to work with QTEC Aerospace, a woman-owned small business, on improving technical, business management and infrastructure capabilities for increased productivity and growth. Northrop Grumman teammate Oakwood University, a historically black university also located in Huntsville, provided training to QTEC personnel for obtaining key security credentials.
