The United States Air Force (USAF) awarded QTEC Aerospace with Task Order 2 (June 2024 – July 2025) for the “Rotary Wing Condition Based Maintenance Plus (CBM+) and Health and Usage Monitoring System (HUMS) Engineering Support for Special Operations Forces/Personnel Recovery (SOF/PR)” Program.
The Air Force originally selected QTEC as the prime contractor for the 5-year base RW CBM+/HUMS Program in May 2023. Task Order 2 includes supporting the HH-60W next-gen Combat Rescue Helicopter. QTEC Aerospace CEO/President Carol Daniel commented, “We are pleased that the Air Force continues to rely on QTEC’s support for their mission to reduce operational risk, improve safety and reduce sustainment costs while increasing aircraft availability.” QTEC Aerospace, along with their strategic partner, Mercer Engineering Research Center (MERC), have been leading CBM+ efforts for all the US Services for many years.
